This program covers children, pregnant women, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. The United States federal government, as well as state and local governments, covers most or all healthcare services for individuals with access to Medicaid. Each state government administers its own Medicaid program according to federal guidelines, so Medicaid requirements and benefits can differ from one state to another.
